Dock Hand Attendant

Appointed by the Board and reporting to the Program Administrator and Club Supervisor, this position is responsible for organizing and supervising assisting members with docking and assisting with maintenance of the dock area.

Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:

• Provides assistance to members and guests in getting underway and mooring their boats in etiquette of good seamanship.
• Continually observes boat traffic in harbor to provide assistance in to the dock area
• Maintains the cleanliness of the entire dock area including: garbage pickup from all areas, and removal of seaweed and other debris from the harbor water.
• First point of contact for members regarding safety concerns or other concerns with
• the condition or use of the docks.
• Assist with any minor, routine maintenance as needed, including safety concerns identified
• by the Club Supervisor
• Reports any misconduct of members, guests or crew members taking place in the harbor areas or club grounds to the Club Supervisor;
• Check for open slips for the day, make note of any danger or damages to Dock slips and report it to Club Supervisor.
• Performs any other tasks deemed necessary by the Program Assistant and Club Supervisor.

Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:

Pleasure Craft Operator Card Boating License Transport Canada.
