Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:
- Assist Journeyman electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment and wiring.
- Perform site preparation, assist in gathering materials, and support general labour tasks as required.
- Follow safety protocols and work practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Learn and apply the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) and other relevant regulations.
- Attend apprenticeship courses and participate in hands-on training to meet the requirements of the Ontario Apprenticeship program.
Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong interest in pursuing a a career as a licensed electrician in Ontario.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working at heights.
- Ability to work independently and a part of a team.
- Have a basic knowledge of math.
- Valid G drivers license and reliable transportation is an asset.
