Position Summary:

Washagamis Bay First Nation is currently seeking a full-time Jordan’s Principle Administration and Data-Base Support Worker. The Jordan’s Principle Administration and Data-Base Support Worker is to provide support and services to assist First Nation children and families with case management, intake, assessment, application processes, and coordination to navigate the full range of federal, provincial, and local health, social, and education services and supports to address children’s needs. The Jordan’s Principle Administration and Data-Base Support Worker will provide direct support the program coordination team and will also with data-input into the program’s data-base and tracking system.

Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:
  • Familiarize self with Jordan’s Principle, service coordination and planning service workflow processes.
  • Oversee all aspects of general office coordination.
  • Maintain office calendar to coordinate workflow and meetings.
  • Maintain and collect employee timesheets and records.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of Washagamis Bay program data collection.
  • Manage storage, filing and security of documents.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Maintain the program data-base and other data systems, as required.
  • Assist with the preparation of any required reports
Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:

In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess any of the following:

 

  • Possess a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma, and/or degree in the business or office administration would be an asset.
  • Significant experience in the field would be considered equivalent to education and training.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability in office administration, methods and procedures and the effective use of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • A comprehensive understanding of data-bases and data entry.
  • Fluency in the Anishinaabe language would be an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be energetic and possess outgoing personality, compassionate, and patient.
  • Must be self-motivated and active-minded.
  • Must have superior oral communication and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced setting.
  • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity to the Anishinaabe Culture and Language is a must.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Possess a valid G Class driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to cooperate with other staff members, parents, and community residents.
  • Must be able to provide and maintain a clean Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
