Wages: Salary Range $50,000 - $90,000 (Based on Experience)
Duties of this LEAP Job Posting: The Land-based Program Coordinator will work with a team of educators and community members to facilitate land-based learning programming for the K-12 school. Indigenous knowledges and ways of being are integrated with a holistic, lifelong learning approach.
- Strong cultural understanding and appreciation of Anishinaabe culture
- Post-secondary training would be an asset
- Experience with the development and implementation of First Nation language and cultural programming/courses would be an asset
- Qualifications or commensurate experience in delivering land-based education programs for a variety of ages and grades is an asset
- Excellent management, planning and organizational skills are required
- Experience in the education of Anishinaabe students/adults
- Highly proficient in the use of a variety of technology for assessment, for, of and as learning and documenting such learning
- Team-oriented to help develop and teach a technology-rich, cross-curricular, land-based program model with other professionals and community members
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Fluency in the Anishinaabe Language is an asset
- Valid teaching degree and/or experience in the Ontario curriculum an asset
- Vulnerable sector check is required
