Looking for a fun-packed winter opportunity at Mount Evergreen Ski Club? We are currently Hiring for the coolest job on the hill – the Lift Operators! The ski hill is open on Friday night (5-9 pm), Saturday and Sunday (10-4pm) and we are looking for someone to work between 1 – 3 shifts per week. We are offering free ski memberships to our full-time staff. Other perks may be available for part-time staff such as school programs during the school year.

Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:

A Lift Operator is someone who attends and operates a lift station. This means you are; loading/unloading skiers, grooming load/unload areas and lift lines, always looking/listening to observe proper operation of lift, assuring proper and safe lift use is practiced. We are willing to train you if you do not have prior experience.

Lift Operators work outside for 2-4 hours in-between breaks, this means you are expected to dress properly and have a basic understanding of working in the cold. Lift Operators work around, and operate a ski lift (a mechanical device that moves skiers up the hill) and must grasp mechanical concepts as well the basic assembly of bullwheels and towers. Lift operators work around people and are responsible for the safety of said people. Lift Operators must communicate well, in person or via radio. Lift Operators often have to be able to clearly and quickly transfer only the important information in an understandable way to our guests.

Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
  • Must be 15 years or older to apply, cannot fail a background or vulnerable sector check if requested at any time.
  • Cannot operate a lift if on any medication that specifically states to not operate heavy machinery when using.
  • May not, under any circumstance, come to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which renders you unfit to operate a ski lift.
  • Must be available for at least 1 shift a week, unless requested time off is made.
  • If you are a team player, have a great attitude and a willingness to learn, and want to do a season on the ski hill, we look forward to hearing from you!
