What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
Always do more than what is expected of you and never assume you are unqualified for a position – there is no harm in trying!

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
I enjoy spending time outdoors and being with friends and family.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?
Making connections in the community and working in a collaborative environment that allows me to express my creativity.

What was your first job?
Cashier/Stocker at a Dollar Store.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
Know that the door that opens may be the right door OR simply a step towards the next door to open. Experience it all and keep that genuine smile on your face.

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
I love spending time with my friends and family, doing anything outdoors and watching my son grow up.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?
My favorite thing about my job is the opportunity to work alongside my colleagues. They are always super motivated and inspire me daily.

What was your first job?
Basketball Coach.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
Give it time. First days are hectic, overwhelming, and not always the most fun. Give yourself time to settle into a role, get to know your coworkers, and get into a rhythm before calling it quits.

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
You can usually find me in Minaki fishing and hanging out with friends.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?
That feeling when someone you’ve been working with gets the job that they’ve been working towards. To feel as if I’ve helped them reach a goal is the best feeling in the world. My coworkers are pretty awesome too.

What was your first job?
Runner/server support at a restaurant.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
Show up every day with a positive attitude and confidence in your ability to learn and perform. Take advantage of opportunities and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, you never know what you might find out about yourself! 

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
Playing music and spending time outside with my friends and family.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?
Getting the chance to help people in our community get excited and achieve their goals. As well as working with like minded and enthusiastic people!

What was your first job?
Sales associate at a clothing store.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
First jobs can be intimidating at the beginning but don’t give up! Take this new experience one step at a time, you will be surprised how far you can go.  

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
I love being outside, but when I’m not outside you can find me doing paint-by-numbers or playing Guitar Hero.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?
I love that I am able to make connections with others and the community. I am passionate about helping others and there is no better feeling than seeing someone become more confident and reach the goals they have set for themselves.

What was your first job? Sales associate at a clothing store.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce? It can be nerve wracking to start a new job. Be confident in your abilities and do your best! As long as you are trying your hardest that is all that matters.

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
I love being outside and hanging out with my friends and family! I enjoy days on the lake, listening to music, and playing soccer.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?I love how supportive my co-workers are. They push me to do better and better every day!
