Cashier at a grocery store.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
Always do more than what is expected of you and never assume you are unqualified for a position - there is no harm in trying!

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
I enjoy spending time outdoors and being with friends and family.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?
Making connections in the community and working in a collaborative environment that allows me to express my creativity.

Cashier/Stocker at a Dollar Store.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
Know that the door that opens may be the right door OR simply a step towards the next door to open. Experience it all and keep that genuine smile on your face.

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
I love spending time with my friends and family, doing anything outdoors and watching my son grow up.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?
My favorite thing about my job is the opportunity to work alongside my colleagues. They are always super motivated and inspire me daily.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
Show up every day with a positive attitude. Take advantage of opportunities and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, you never know what you might find out about yourself! 

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
Playing music and spending time outside with my friends and family.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?
Getting the chance to help people in our community get excited and achieve their goals. As well as working with like minded and enthusiastic people!

Persevere. The job search process takes time. Don't give up, and see it through!

Watching movies and spending time with family.

Babysitter.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
Show up early, have a positive attitude, and a smile on your face - you never know how far that alone can take you!

Hiking with my husband and our dog.

Working with a collaborative team that are friendly, supportive, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

What advice would you give youth just starting out in the workforce?
Don't limit yourself and take chances.

What are you happiest doing outside of work?
Spending time outside either on a nature trail or canoeing on the water during golden hour.

What is your favourite aspect of working for LEAP?
I find joy in observing my clients journeys, witnessing what ignites their passion, and taking pride in helping them discover their purpose.
