We are currently seeking to hire a temporary, full-time Administrative Assistant for the summer located in Red Lake, Ontario. Our employees enjoy a healthy work environment, development opportunities, and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.


Reporting to the Integrated Social Services Supervisor, the Administrative Assistant provides assistance to the operation of the reception area, provides clerical support, and completes special projects within the various social services departments, and other related administrative tasks.

Wages: The hourly wage range for this position is $16.98 - $18.02 (2013 rate, subject to change. Wage dependent on whether the successful candidate is a new student or returning student)

Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:
  • Operate general office equipment
  • Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and the general public
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to meet timelines
  • Use computers and various software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Enrolment in post-secondary studies, preferably in a related field such as Social Services or Business Administration
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Experience and/or familiarity with completing the above tasks is beneficial


To be considered for this position, you must be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
