Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:
- Provide one-to-one child care that meets the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of one infant child in a private residence (12 month+)
- Contributed to a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment in which the child thrives and develops
- Keeps the child’s personal hygiene and play area neat and tidy (ie. diaper and clothing changes, meal clean up, etc)
- May include other light housekeeping duties as required
Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous child care experience mandatory
- ECE diploma an asset but not necessary
- Engaging, kind and nurturing personality
- Child-centred
- First Aid/Infant CPR trained – if not already qualified, employer will pay for successful candidate to complete or obtain recertification
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check – employer will reimburse the fee
- Minimum of 1 year professional or personal experience caring for an infant child
- Must provide 2 job related references
