Duties of this LEAP Job Posting: This is a full-time on-site role for a Heavy Civil Construction Foreman at Titan Contractors. The Foreman will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at construction sites, ensuring quality control, coordinating and supervising the work of crew members, and communicating with stakeholders. The role requires strong heavy equipment skills, as well as effective communication and collaboration with the team.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate job specifics to a crew of 1-10 people including drivers, operators, labourers, and flag persons.
- Assign tasks to crew members on a daily basis and follow up to ensure quality and workmanship standards are met.
- Communicate regular updates and any changes to project scope made by the owner, consultant, or general contractor to the Project Manager and Site Superintendent.
- Conduct daily safety toolbox meetings and/or field level hazard assessments.
- Along with the Safety Manager and Project Manager, ensure project compliance with OHSA & Regulations for Construction Projects by implementing the Company’s OH&S Management/COR
Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
- 5+ years of experience within the Heavy Civil Construction field, or related field is required.
- Ability to read & understand specifications, civil plans, and other construction documents.
- Must be able and willing to travel to multiple job sites across Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba, occasionally overnight.
- Ability to work long hours and various shifts include nights and/or weekends depending on project deadlines and scheduling requirements.
- Past experience in sewer and water or roadway projects considered an asset.
- Operating experience considered an asset.
- Must have G License, at minimum, further licenses considered an asset.
- Professional level verbal and written communication skills.
