As the Boat Rentals Supervisor at Musky Point Marina, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations and activities at our Harbourfront marina __cpLocation on Lake of the Woods.

You are the face of Musky Point Marina and our sister companies (Docking, Boat Service & Detail) to our customers and are responsible for the pre-season preparation, in-season execution, and post-season shutdown. Throughout the season, ongoing general maintenance of property and equipment, communication with the General Manager, and leadership for your staff form the key components of your position.

The Boat Rentals Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the boat rental program, ensuring the safety of customers and equipment, and providing excellent customer service. The Boat Rentals Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of boat rental dockhands and will work closely with the General Manager to ensure that all aspects of the boat rental program are running smoothly.

Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the boat rental program, including reservations, check-in and check-out, and customer service
  • Ensure the safety of customers and equipment, including conducting pre and post-rental inspections and enforcing safety protocols
  • Train and supervise marina dockhands, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the boat rental area, including docks, boats, and equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of boat rental equipment and facilities as needed
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ordering new items as needed and keeping track of expenses
  • Assist with marketing and promotional efforts to attract new customers and retain existing ones
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required
Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in business or hospitality management preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a marina or similar environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism
  • Knowledge of boating safety and regulations, with the ability to enforce rules and regulations
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair of marina facilities and equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer programs
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
    Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods
